The Julius Baer Group is the leading dedicated wealth manager in Switzerland. Ever since its beginnings in the nineteenth century, the company’s development has been driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, cultural openness and an intimate understanding of its clients’ needs..
The single most decisive factor for our success over the centuries has been our ability to always harmoniously align the various interests that affect our company. In our experience, no single stakeholder (in the words of current business jargon) can be placed exclusively at the centre of a market-driven company’s efforts without putting the necessary support from the other stakeholders at risk and jeopardising the company’s success and sheer existence at the same time.
Thus, what implicitly has been company policy at all times is now being articulated in the Code of Corporate Social Responsibility in order to meet today’s transparency expectations and to help understand how Julius Baer works and why we interact internally and externally the way we do, as reflected by the Code’s six main areas of Corporate Social Responsibility.
The Corporate Social Responsibility Committee (CSRC) is formally responsible for managing all corporate social responsibility issues of the Group as set forth in the guiding principles of the CSRC. The CSRC reports to the Executive Committee.
